Too often we have a very narrow view of what a youth leader or youth sponsor looks like. The great thing is that they come in all shapes and sizes from student leaders, young adults, parents, grandparents, teachers, business owners, and the list goes on!
Some help weekly, some monthly, and some only once a year. Some love interacting with students, others like helping behind the scenes. What brings them together is their passion to change the spiritual landscape by—redefining the youth culture!
Please let us know how you want to redefine our students' lives!
( All youth leaders and sponsors are subject to back ground checks.)
Fundraising Fundraising, Fundraising
…Did I mention fundraising yet?
Student Ministries are dependent on fundraising. There are three things that every student has in common: time, energy, and NO money!
Raising funds is a reality to any student ministry. The more we structure and facilitate fundraising throughout the year, the more likely that each student will have the opportunity to participate in events throughout the year, events that may very well impact them for life!
This year we are asking as much as possible that both parents and students take a proactive approach to fundraising this year.
Funding from the Community
We all know that economically we are facing challenging times which, for the church, speaks even more forcefully of the need to be resourceful and to be good stewards of what we have been given. In years past, we have always relied heavily on the people within the church to fund our events. Although there will always be room for this, we want to do a better job of raising funds from the community.
I believe that we will have plenty of opportunities if planned, presented, and executed well. We are open to any ideas, and we'll be encouraging us all to work together throughout the year.
Change the spiritual landscape…
Let's make this a very memorable year in our student ministry. I'm excited to see how God is going to continue to form and shape each of the students this year. Let's redefine this youth culture!
